Pregnancy Prep
Pregnancy sessions are best during 7–8 months when the tummy is nice and round but before the swelling begins.

Recommended is between your 32nd and 36th week of pregnancy.

For those carrying multiples or on bed rest, it is advised to have your session a bit earlier, more like 6-7 months. For those woman gaining very little-weight throughout their pregnancy (under 20 pounds) then we suggest waiting until 8-9 months. The idea is to have your session when your tummy is nice and round, but before your entire body swells and its uncomfortable.

Pregnancy sessions require you moving in ways you are not used to, and therefore they can be exhausting to the body. We suggest a few things for you to prepare for your session:

• Eat a well balance meal with carbs and protein
• Drink lots of water
• Stay off your feet for 1-2 hours before your session (a perfect time for
hair/makeup)

We also suggest making sure your partners and children also have a meal before their session. We do provide bottled water and snacks in the studio for your session.

** If your session is on location, we suggest bringing a canteen of water that will stay cool during hot days.

 Hair/Makeup

We work with several stylists in Saskatoon Saskatchewan. The stylist can come to our studio and provide the hair and makeup service, or they can meet you at your home. They will discuss pricing and timing with you directly.

I am also a certified MUA from MC Collage, I do not offer hair. Depending on my schedule, I may or may not be able to do makeup for a session. Creative Stylized Sessions for print comp, I do myself always. I got certified as I like to participate in Photographic Arts Competitions, and make up was another way to elevate the images I submit. I do really enjoy doing it but Photography is my 1st love. I hardly post but I do have a Insta page which was started just before Covid. Hopefully in the future I will add to it. Our studios make up page is called: A Woman of Taste MUA on Instagram. ( Due to studio moving and availability not available for booking currently)

Maternity Wear

For in studio sessions, we do suggest browsing our clothing line and capturing
screenshots, or downloading images to give us an idea of your choices. You can email your choices to Renditure@hotmail.cca. Clients usually choose 3-4 clothing options for in studio sessions. For on location, we suggest 2-3 items as it can become tiring changing and working on location. We also welcome pinboards, or other ways to show us your style and the types of images you wish to capture. Feel free to share your Pinterest boards with us. We are Renditure Photography on Pinterest. These can be shared publicly or privately.

We generally keep average sized gowns in our studio, however; we have plus and petite options. If there is any doubt that we will have your size, we suggest making an appointment to come in for measuring and fitting of our gowns. You are welcome to bring any clothing of yours as well!

If you are going on location, it is important that you choose gowns before your session day so that we can bring the right gowns. You can call the studio to schedule a time to come in and try gowns, or you can email your selection to us.

We will soon have a portable changing area for privacy in changing when on location. Otherwise we suggest you select a location with a public washroom.

Pregnancy Packing

Our studio has over 100+ gowns and growing. Gowns that are
available, at no charge to you for your session only. There can be an additional dry clean fee to use.

We provide a small selection of clothing for younger girls as well, and may have some
matching gowns for most of our Mama gowns.

We do not provide clothing for boys or
male partners. We have some little gents clothing but harder to acquire than one would think, when trying to match looks. So not near as much as little girls.

Depending upon the style of your session and
clothing you are choosing, the following are
some suggested items to bring:

• Nude Skin Tone bra (strapless and with straps)
Another option is Nude Skin Tone Stick Bras. Or nipple covers for usage with sheer fabrics or gowns.
• Nude / Skin tone underwear -thong is ideal or a spandex type panty that does not show lines
• Spandex shorts - Spanx or similar shorts are also ok provided they are nude /skin tone
• Undergarments that match the style of clothing you prefer -such as lacy black panties for black gowns that open, or boy shorts.
• High heeled shoes (for long gowns)
• On location please bring some closed toe shoes, in-case of walking time between locations.

Maternity Styling for Partners and Children

We suggest complimentary styling for your partner and children.
This means they do not need to have the exact same color, but perhaps be in
the same tonal range, as well as style.

If you are choosing more fancy and formal gowns for your session, than your partner should be dressed to match the same style (glam vs casual).

Likewise, if you are going to go more casual, than your partner can also be more simple in their clothing i.e. jeans.

We suggest avoiding shorts for partners or children so that we can focus on the posing and less on what they are wearing. Shoes are also optional, but if you are wearing dress shoes, they should then also wear shoes.
