How far in advance do I need to book?
Due to demand, we do book differently than other studios
Cake Smash 1+ months, to ensure I can book with my preferred Cake Designers. They ask for 4 weeks min for booking. It also allows us to order customized banners & decorations, if needed, for the color pallet or theme.
Maternity - 2-6 Months
Newborn / Babies - 2-4 months, when not booking a maternity session. In rare circumstances I can book in with less lead time. This will be dependent on a holiday cancellation or a newborn being born earlier than expected and sometimes I'll end up with 1-2 spaces available same month. More often than not, I cannot accommodate less than 2 months prior booking. You may get lucky and we may be able to accommodate if its a month that birth rates are lower. Booking in once you have decided on a photographer 4 - 6 months in advance is best to ensure you don’t have to rush book if baby makes a surprise appearance, as many do!
Family
4 weeks -2 months.
This gives us an accurate idea of when our babies will be arriving and what availability is like.
Mini's & Simply Siblings
1-2 months, these are our only sessions we offer with same month booking. We offer these around Valentines, Easter: Peter Rabbit Beatrix Potter Themes, Spring: Teddy Bears Pic Nick Theme Fall: Pumpkin Patch Pumpkin Sale, Holiday Time Trees for Sale Stand and Mrs Claus Cookies Theme. There’s are yearly offerings where these are offered on 1 day.
How long is the turn around time after my session?
2-3 weeks. Generally, we aim to have all photo retouching done in 3 weeks but can take as long as 4 during heavy & holiday seasons. We like to book the Ordering and Photo reveal Session as quickly as possible after. In rush scenarios we do offer a rush service at an additional cost if time allows. This can be purchased the day of your session.
How do I know what to Expect while at and from my Session?
Prep guides are distributed at the consult and many after booking. Don't worry, we guide you through each of the steps & processes. You’re given tips and tricks for clothing options and color matching with your family members. We have steps on how to ensure you get the most out of your portrait sessions.
Are images received watermarked?
No, anything you have purchased rights to is not provided with a watermark. I do watermark all images uploaded online to protect my clients & protect our copyright from people stealing or misusing art works. These are also low res web files. Files provided to clients are high resolution print files.
Do I need to book an In-person consult to book with your studio?
Yes! We do NOT book any other way than in person. We want to know you’re sure our studio is a great fit for you and your growing family. You get to preview the spaces in which you will be photographed and browse our maternity dress collection and newborn & milestone props. Make sure all your needs can be met before you commit to anything. It’s at the consult that you can book with our studio and sign the booking contract to be guaranteed your date/s and time/s of choice. We do ask for a non refundable retainer fee to be paid same day if you aren't choosing to pay for the entire session at the consult. The remaining balance is due at the start of your first booked session.

we have 1000’s of options for Newborn, Baby, & Sitter Sessions. Your welcome to bring your own as well. The photographer needs to know prior that your bringing them to plan where best to work in to the session workflow.
What are Milestone Sessions?
Many families choose to have their baby photographed several times during their first year. These are called Milestone Sessions, family photographers often recommend scheduling these sessions as a newborn (6-14 days old), at 3 months, 6 months, 9 months & the baby’s one year birthday. Some do every month the first year, 3, 6, 9 & 12 months cover the big ones. Milestone Information
What time do Newborn Sessions Start at?
9 am, all newborn sessions start at 9am. This is due to newborn physiology. Is there any exception to this? No, to get the photos you see on our website 9am start time is when a session must start. After studying child development and 12+ years of experience photographing newborns, this is the time where it works best for baby & photographer. Even 3 month old and 100 day babies share a start time of 9am sharp.
What Happens if I Show Up Late to a Session?
How ever late you show up is deducted from the time booked as well as products that would need that time to be created. Every 5 mins late starts deducting 1 images from your booked images received in a session. So, props, poses, sets & digital’s or prints may be deducted. This is because the photographer no longer has enough time to complete all products requested. This is part of the contract you will need to agree to to book in our studio. All of this is avoided by showing up on time.
After 1 hour late to a session, the shoot is considered to be fully fulfilled and all monies paid waived to the photographer. As they were ready, waiting during that time not able to work on other clients projects. Most Sessions have spent a few hours setting up esp in Newborn, Milestone, Maternity & Cake smash sessions. These sessions have a ton of prep work gone into them.
