Studio Policies
•The session fee pays for the time and talent of the photographer and for your in-person viewing appointment. It does not include any finished portraits. The session fee is due at the time of your portrait session. Session fees are non-refundable, however with 48 hours notice it can be rescheduled in case of an emergency.
•If you have a sick child on the day of the session please call to reschedule. If you try to keep the appointment, We will most likely request that you reschedule if we notice your child is sick. Sick or uncomfortable children do not like to be photographed and we know that you will not love your portraits nearly as much as if he or she was in good health.
•I work with fresh babies, PLEASE do not KNOWINGLY bring a sick child to my studio. If you are unsure if your child is ill please seek a pediatricians guidance before. A repeat from above but it’s really that Important!
•If you have or are having a boy, please DO NOT CIRCUMCISE your child before your session. We will be swaddling your baby tightly while he is naked, and moving him from one position to another constantly during the session. This is very painful for a child who has just been circumcised. We will NOT photograph a newborn who has been circumcised less than 6 days prior to the session.
•Please bring only the subjects to be photographed to the session. This is especially important with pets and kids, as Amanda will need their full attention on your baby rather than looking at other members of the family. Of course parents are always welcome!
**Siblings at Newborn sessions need alternate accommodation after sibling photos are over. The studio can be a dangerous place for young children and they must have somewhere else to go after their photos are finished. I shoot the family and sibling photos first, so its easy for you to make prior arrangements, while the remainder of the newborns session happens. My and your attention need to be focused on the baby for the remainder of the session. No young child enjoys the heat we have on for baby, & there’s not enought to keep them entertained. All my props look like children’s toys but they are not. This is safest for siblings and baby. There is absolutely no exception to this.
•Personal cameras are not allowed in studio during your session. Please refrain from taking phone images or video taping. We work very hard to ensure your session is captured artistically and creatively. We ask that you respect our livelihood and refrain from taking photographs of what we are creating.
•You agree to hold harmless, Amanda Dalglish, her representatives, employees and Renditure Photography, from any dispute in the event you or your family become injured during your session or while on the studio premises. Renditure Photography and its representatives will not be held liable for any injury to you, your children or your family members, or for any damage to your property during the photo session or while on studio premises.
•You will view your portraits at a personally attended photo reveal. You will be asked to order in person at this time. Please make sure all decision makers are present, as additional ordering appointments incur a $100 fee. Print Products have many different turnaround times, albums usually the longest. An average turnaround time is 2-3 weeks but can be as long as 6-8 weeks for Heirloom Canvas & Italian Handmade Albums.
•We price our prices according to a model release being signed. This is discounted by $200 to compensate you for our right to use the images on our website and in marketing collateral etc. We never sell your images they are used to promote future business. The same way you viewed our website and portfolio and used the images you saw to make a choice to potentially work with our studio. Without the ability to do this a photographer would lose the ability to show future clients current art work, and would inevitability end their ability to provide for their family and close down their small business.
There are photographers in Saskatoon that trade/sell your child’s photos for discounted backdrops or to sell their own drops on the different platforms. This is a bad idea, as if said backdrop company ever sells their company, the new owners have a release allowing them use of the photos. You no longer can control whats done with the images. Or maybe they just change how they do business and use them in a different way, you don’t approve of. Its written in my contract that I don’t sell or trade your images to anyone. I use them they way your seeing on my site and in marketing media, example photo albums and prints you see in studio.
If you’d like to work with us but not sign a release, the discounted session or package would no longer be discounted by $200. So add $200+ to any said package. This differs between packages based on time and nature of photo session.
We only use saleable images from our sessions. “If you don’t look good we don’t look good” Here are some example below…
Why RENDITURE?
I love these little people… I could win the lottery and still be doing this tomorrow with no question. I’ve already left a career job 12 years ago to do what I love and here I am today still dreaming up new sets and ideas for all my clients!
We have the largest maternity & newborn prop collection in Saskatchewan for sure, ask any of our previous clients, our prop room is stuffed. In fact if most clients added up the costs of all the props used, if they were to buy them themselves, it would have been worth more than what they paid me for the entire photo package.
We DON’T photograph weddings and fill in our slow times with babies. We’re invested in our Maternity and newborn clients FULL Time.
