Pregnancy is full of surprises and challenges. With all the changes your body is going through, you may be hesitant about getting maternity photos. The great news is that with the right maternity photographer, this process can actually be a really fun experience, completely enjoyable just for itself. In our Studio or on location we plan an artistic session from your consult that really focuses on capturing timeless images that can be displayed in your home for years to come.

It is generally recommended to plan your maternity photography session in the late second or early third trimester. 30-34 weeks is the general time that the belly looks great. You want to be clearly showing but still feel comfortable enough to enjoy the process. After that the belly will start to drop when baby is planning for its arrival.

In most portraiture attention is focused on the subject’s face and in particular the eyes. lighting patterns are created to show your features in the most favorable light.

Maternity photography is different.  Your belly will be the primary focus in most images not the pregnant woman.  We will take photographs from different angles to create different perspectives of your tummy to give it a rounder appearance and perhaps appear larger to draw the viewer’s attention.
