What To Expect When Expecting And Planning A Maternity & Pregnancy Photo Session
Congratulations on fact that you are expecting a new baby! It’s an exciting time for you and your partner and we are pleased that you have found us! This is a special time of your life. Time of joy, love and excitement which should be captured and recorded for days to come. Many women often regret missing out their maternity portraits and not having these beautiful and precious images to remind them of the love and passion they had for their babies before their birth.
And since you are reading this guide now, you most likely have already decided to have a pregnancy portrait session. We understand that this could be a daunting task which many women face for a first time. Lots of questions: When? Where? What to bring? What to wear?
To help you with the preparation and be familiar with what to expect, we have created this how-to guide for you!
The Pregnancy Stage of a Woman’s life is the time of changes. Your body goes through extremely demanding developmental time, and before you know it, your belly shows and you get that gorgeous glow from within.
Maternity glow is a thing. It really happens. Not because it takes you half the time it used to to sweat like crazy, just getting out of the car. It’s because you are creating a new life. Those are your baby’s first moments. Why not capture them with a maternity bump session? When your baby is here, they arrived. You won’t get this time back. As much as you may not enjoy it at times now, those are your baby’s first months, they are definitely worth remembering.
Not feeling too amazing? Swollen feet and bloating can take away from the euphoria of pregnancy, but it’s my job as a photographer to make you look and feel amazing. Pregnancy photo session doesn’t sound like something for you? You may not consider posing in front of the camera at this time of your life something natural, but years from now, you want your kids to look at those photos and know how proud you were and how much you were looking forward to meeting them. You want them to know what a privilege it was to carry them so close to your heart. It’s going to mean the world to them.
I usually photograph the session in the studio. Upon request and providing the weather is nice, we can do the session outdoors too. I provide the options of many different colored gowns & dresses but you are free to bring your own too. Most of my moms-to-be like to have at least a few classy, timeless semi nude images. Those are always done in studio.
Partners and your children are always welcome during the session.
