This Collection is perfect for our Maternity and Newborn photography clients; who want a custom photo session for a large impact heirloom piece to showcase on their wall, a perfect way to document one of life's milestones in both their and their child's lives.

Sometimes a maternity client finds you and has followed your work enough that on shoot day they trust your judgment and give you full creative control. These photos were created when our moms let me have full creative control. The finished works are just some of our composite and 3d background works. The Woodland Fine Art Collection was offered in 2016 and is a separate charge from our packages. We have new outdoor and indoor looks for 2017. This works take much longer to create from start to finish. This is offered separate from our main packages. This collection will be offered only when time allows. Offered to Newborns and then again at Sitter stages. We over the holidays have relocated our studio to Stonebridge area of Saskatoon. Our mommies can now enjoy a fireplace while relaxing on the couch and have access to all same floor amenities.  Interested in a fine art piece to commemorate the birth or adoption of your child?

We offer no cost consultations, that are quick and very effective. The consultation allows you to get familiar with us and make sure were a good fit for you. We go over exactly what you want and need. We go over the pricing and products with no commitment too book. We get everything figured out ahead of time so you don’t have to worry in between the consult and the shoot date. You get to meet your photographer; you won’t be left wondering will the photographer do this? Will they shoot that picture? Can I add more people? Are pets welcome? That way both of you are on the same page about what’s expected. You will be given your photographers personal cell number so you can contact them if anything comes up. You will leave knowing you’re taken care of so you can focus your time and energy on the important things like family.

When to book

Maternity Sessions are best photographed in the 32nd to 36th week of pregnancy. During this period of your pregnancy, you are starting to get your energy back because most will no longer feel the nauseated.  Not only you feel better during week 32-36, you actually can fit properly into maternity clothes. You’re more likely to feel better before the ninth month due to hormonal changes towards the end of pregnancy.

Newborn Sessions

Are booked by your due date and adjusted as you drop or go into labor. We need to know when these things happen asap, so we can arrange our schedule to photograph them between their 6th and 14th day new.  This is when the baby sleeps best and also when their developmental stage allows for the best possible newborn poses. After 10-14 days bones harden and stomach develops we can still get great images but a lot less possibilities are possible and wont be capable for all the poses you see on our site. Its not safe to do some of the posing after they pass this developmental stage. They also no longer stay curly or bring feet up but flail legs and arms outward. There is still lots of other great images you can take we would just expect baby to be more awake and less compliant overall. Lots of great photos we’ve even taken at 6 weeks.
